Info Projects and Topics Chronologie 2018 Connecting Creative Minds „Connecting Creative Minds – Trinational, European, Global“. Unter diesem Motto wird die zukünftige Strategie der Universität Freiburg entwickelt. Mission Statement for Teaching How can we describe the teaching and learning culture at our university? What do we devote special attention to as an institution? What principles is our teaching grounded in? 2017 uni'ideen All university employees have experience in and knowledge of processes and structures. With uni'ideen, the university’s employee suggestion scheme, employees can submit suggestions on how to improve processes and structures. 2016 Goals for Studies and Teaching What is good teaching? To answer this question, we as a university must decide what goals to set for studies and teaching. We aim to discuss this with everyone together at an innovation workshop. 2014 Mission Statement for the Central University Administration (ZUV) In the context of its human resources development efforts, the Central University Administration gave itself a mission statement. The participative process made a fundamental contribution to achieving clarity in the alignment and identity of the ZUV. 2012 BarCamp Social Media In the course of developing a social media strategy, we organized an innovation workshop with an unusual format: an un-conference. 2011 SWOT Analysis On the basis of a data-supported analysis of strengths and weaknesses, we held ten half-day workshops in which a total of 219 participants grappled intensively and openly with the University of Freiburg’s strengths and weaknesses as well as the opportunities it offers and the threats facing it. EXIST Culture of Entrepreneurship Technology transfer, spin-offs, patents – these are topics that are preoccupying universities at the moment. What is the current state of entrepreneurial culture at the university? What does a good entrepreneurial climate feel like? These questions were topics of in-depth discussion at the workshop. 2010 Teaching in 2030 The topic of the workshop was the future of teaching and how students, teachers, and university employees see it. The focus was less on making concrete predictions than on discussing scenarios for teaching in and for a globalized society. University Community Film Project That’s how I see it! This appeal was the starting point for the university’s Community Film Project, an experiment encouraging members of the university community to see and show the university in a new light. Videos, animations, clips – the possibilities were endless and (almost) everything allowed. 2009 Corporate Design Relaunch The university’s corporate design is more than a logo, a typeface, and a combination of colors. One might refer to it as the common visual element that shows that if the university is on the label, that’s also what’s inside. Recognizable while still allowing room for individuality. Improvements to Student Services One place to go for everyone and everything – that was the "slogan" of a comprehensive process for restructuring the university’s central student services beginning in 2009. The result of the process was the Student Service Center. 2008 Strategic Identity Describe the university in five words. That is how one might – in simplified terms – describe the assignment given to the participants of the workshop. The idea behind it was a goal-directed approach for identifying concrete corporate values. 2007 Environment and Competence Analysis What’s so special about the University of Freiburg? What sets it apart as an academic institution for research, teaching, and continuing education, as a part of the special attitude toward life peculiar to Freiburg, as the driving force for technology transfer in the region? Congress on the Future Ideas for the university of the future – utopian, visionary, pragmatic. Unconventional ideas are welcome! That’s what the 2007 Congress on the Future, the big kickoff event of the University of Freiburg’s innovation workshop, was all about.
