Dialogue Process

“Facelift” for the University
The Corporate Design Process at the University

The sorely needed overhaul of the university’s corporate design was tackled in 2009, and the new design was officially introduced in winter semester 2009/10. Following a public call for proposals at the beginning of November 2008 and a multi-stage selection procedure the university chose the agency qu-int and commissioned it to revise the existing corporate design.

The main reason for the revision was the lack of possibilities for adapting the university’s old corporate design from the year 1998 to recent innovations in the areas of Internet and printing. The goal was to create a professional, user-friendly corporate design that could be used in all forms of media.

Full-time Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Heiner Schanz was in charge of revising and introducing the corporate design.

The process was coordinated by Dr. Christina Schoch (SCS) and Dr. Reiner Fuest (D1.1 Office of Knowledge Management) and Rudolf-Werner Dreier (Office of Public Relations).
